Indiana Jones Tops PS5 Pre-Order Charts
As Indiana Jones and the Great Circle nears its release on PlayStation 5, it seems that this highly anticipated title is capturing the attention of many PS5 gamers. According to a report from ResetEra user Red Kong XIX, the digital edition of the game has topped the pre-order charts for PS5 games on the PlayStation Store.
This includes both the Standard Edition and the Premium Edition of the game, developed by MachineGames and published by Bethesda. The Standard Edition currently leads the pre-order charts in the UK, while the Premium Edition holds the top spot in both the US and Canada, as reported by Gamingbolt.
Following Microsoft’s new strategy of releasing first-party Xbox games on other platforms (especially PlayStation), Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will be available for PS5 players. Prior to this, Forza Horizon 5, one of Xbox’s biggest former exclusives, also topped the PS5 pre-order charts. Now, this racing title has been overtaken by Indiana Jones, which currently holds second place.
The top 10 pre-ordered games on the PlayStation charts, besides Indiana Jones and Forza Horizon 5, include a variety of titles such as Atomfall, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, The First Berzerker: Khazan, Elden Ring: Nightreign, and Days Gone Remastered. The rankings of these titles may vary depending on the specific geographic region.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is set for release on April 17, 2025 for PS5. However, players who pre-order the Premium Edition will gain early access and be able to play two days earlier. The official release date was announced earlier this week via a trailer featuring voice actors Nolan North and Troy Baker.
For those interested in purchasing the physical edition of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, it’s important to note that additional files will need to be downloaded. This was revealed during the unveiling of the Collector’s Edition of the game. Also, a internet connection will be required for the physical edition.
As for Forza Horizon 5, PS5 players will be able to access the game on April 29, 2025. According to Microsoft, an Xbox account will be required for online play on PS5. This account will be linked to the player's PSN account, a requirement also applicable for Sea of Thieves.
While MachineGames, the developers of Indiana Jones, are working on the PS5 version of the game, they’re also improving the PC version. The latest major update, released in February 2025, fixed several bugs and improved the user experience, with the most notable addition being DLSS 4 and FSR 3.1 support.
